For unseasoned grill grates, please follow the bellow instructions prior first use.

  1. Preheat your grill at 400°F;
  2. Insert your new Malory grill grate inside your grill;
  3. Brush your grill grate with vegetable cooking oil (preferably canola or sunflower) using BBQ tongs and a folded paper towel;
  4. Close the lid and open the air vents to maintain a temperature of 400°F for 2 hours. Your grill grate should have turned fully black once the seasoning process is completed – Repeat step 3 and 4 if necessary. Your grill grate is now ready to use.
